We are excited to introduce Xavier Grillot, Piceasoft’s Country Manager for France. Xavier joined the Piceasoft team in August 2024. With many years of experience in marketing and business development across industries like digital media and telecommunications, Xavier now leads Piceasoft’s sales and customer support in his region. We sat down with him to learn more about his journey and approach to business.
Q: Tell us about your background and what led you to join Piceasoft.
I have a solid background in marketing, business development, and partnerships, with over 20 years of experience across industries such as digital media, telecommunications, and entertainment. Most recently, I worked at Mondia Digital, focusing on business growth and partner development in Europe. I was drawn to Piceasoft because of its innovative solutions in device lifecycle management, which address current market needs while emphasizing sustainability and efficiency. Joining the company felt like a natural step to contribute to meaningful projects in this space.
Q: Can you describe a typical business day for you? Or is there a typical day?
My days tend to vary, but they usually involve planning and communication. I might start by reviewing ongoing projects and market updates, followed by team discussions to ensure alignment on goals and timelines. Much of my time is spent collaborating with partners or clients, addressing their needs, and finding opportunities to move projects forward. Flexibility is essential, as priorities can shift depending on challenges or new developments.
Q: How would you describe the market for used phones in France? Are there any trends you find especially interesting?
The market for used phones in France is growing steadily, driven by increased interest in sustainability and budget-friendly alternatives. Consumers are more inclined towards refurbished devices that combine affordability with quality assurance. I also find the rise of trade-in programs and initiatives to reduce electronic waste particularly interesting. These trends reflect changing consumer behavior and open the door for businesses to innovate and offer better services.
Q: In what ways do you see Piceasoft’s products making a difference for businesses in France?
Piceasoft’s products address key challenges for businesses in managing the lifecycle of mobile devices. They help streamline trade-ins, ensure secure data erasure, and improve device diagnostics, which are all crucial for building consumer trust. In France, where there is a strong focus on transparency and eco-friendly practices, these solutions can help businesses stand out by meeting customer expectations while simplifying their processes.
Q: Can you share a recent success story and how Piceasoft’s solutions have made a tangible impact on your customers’ businesses?
Every customer represents a unique challenge and an opportunity to add value to their business. One recent highlight was renewing contracts with two of our strategic partners using the PiceaVolume and PiceaServices products: one providing nationwide mobile device repair services and the other specializing in buying and selling used phones across nearly 100 stores.
These renewals weren’t just about continuing our collaboration; they reflected the growing trust in our solutions and their ability to help our customers create and offer innovative services to mobile device users. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact our solutions can have on customers’ businesses, and it motivates me to help them unlock new revenue opportunities and expand their service offerings.
Q: When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
My free time is mainly dedicated to my family. I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, whether helping with school activities, working at home, or simply relaxing together. I also like staying active through sports or small personal projects, and I make time for cultural activities or exploring new things when possible. These moments help me maintain a good balance and recharge.
